Digital Marketing & Strategy Expertise
Mirage started his marketing career in Financial Services and then FMCG, before joining one of the UK’s largest mobile Internet portals in 2000 - developing online communities and in-game sponsorship opportunities for iconic brands. He then spent 7 years with Sky, launching and leading its first Digital Partnership Programme, before becoming Future Media Lead with Executive sponsorship where he was tasked with designing and deploying their future talent strategy.
Career Foundations and Leadership in Digital Media

He has worked with Commercial, Marketing and HR leaders in the UK and overseas that include organisations such as Channel 4, Sky, TalkTalk, EY, Coca-Cola, Jardine Matheson, Saatchi & Saatchi and Publicis Worldwide, digitising operations and empowering their marketing teams on the latest trends and innovations in Digital Marketing and providing valuable insight the changes in consumer behaviour.
Industry Leadership, Education, and Skills Development
Formerly Chair of Learning and Innovation at the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA), he launched a UK Digital Knowledge Programme in partnership with Microsoft and BSkyB, to address industry skills gap, that is now in its fifteenth year developing digital skills and literacy for thousands of young people. This passion for learning and development has seen Mirage hold digitally focused organisational development roles as well as being a Lecturer in Digital Marketing teaching on MBA programmes. Mirage is able to translate the changes in Digital communications, consumer behaviour and the impact on organisations to ensure organisational effectiveness.
Academic Leadership and Industry Recognition
Mirage is Lecturer in Digital Marketing and Innovation Lead at the University of Salford and a Fellow of Advance HE and the Royal Society of Arts, invited to join for his contribution to the Marketing and Communications industry and a judge on a number of digital awards bodies that include Asian Media Awards and Prolific North. Mirage has sat on numerous Executive Boards including D&AD and has also been an advisor to the British Council, NESTA and the IAB.
Committed to developing future talent, in his spare time, Mirage mentors young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and works with charities such as TheBigLifeGroup to help develop their digital capabilities.
